The Steffensens World

I finished our 2005 Christmas Letter last night. We sent out about 80 cards this morning and have about 20 more to sign and address tonight. We included a small card with a link to the letter. We hope that it finds everyone in good health and good cheer this holiday season!

I finally got all of the pictures developed from our vacation to Texas and Oklahoma this summer.  We went to Austin first, touring the University of Texas and staying with the Denhams in Georgetown.  Then we went to Granny and Papa John’s on Lake Whitney, where we played in the lake, toured a few family homestead towns, and went to see the dinosaur footprints at Glen Rose.  Then we went to Ole Granny’s (Kirk’s Granny) in Guthrie, Oklahoma, where we spent time with Granny, had dinner with Uncle Ed and Aunt Carolyn, saw Aunt Sharon and her newly upgraded house, and toured the museums downtown.  Finally, we went to Tulsa where we stayed with Kirk’s brother, Mike, had dinner with Grandad and Grandma Jan, went to Big Splash and went to Kirk’s 20th Edison High School Class of 1985 Reunion.

Today is a Snow Day for the kids.  It’s a nasty wet snow, so I don’t know how much fun it will be for them to play in.  It prompted me to post the pictures of them playing out front on a snow day last January.   They built a great snow fort with several neighborhood kids.
